Surrendering or being detached is a key element in the act of consciously creating your desired outcomes. It can also be the most confusing element as well. It’s like saying “decide what you want then don’t care whether or not you get it.” It seems to be the ultimate dichotomy. But when you look at it at an energetic level it’s not. Not at all!
Let’s break it down. If we don’t care whether or not we get what we want then why even set the intentions?
By setting your intentions you are becoming the co-creator or master of your circumstances. By not setting your intentions you are letting life happen to you. From my experience most people that don’t set their intentions don’t because they don’t believe that they can actually have what they want. This belief unconsciously becomes their intention. That intention being “I can’t have what I want”, therefore that is what they experience. You are always creating your experience either consciously or unconsciously. Setting intentions make you a conscious creator.
Just by taking the step of setting intentions or even deciding what it is you truly want you are becoming more empowered. You are acting as if what you want matters and that you are a significant being. This is already shifting how Spirit responds to you.
Caring whether or not you get what you have intended implies that you must get what you want in order to be happy. You have attached your happiness to the outcome. When you do this, then of course you are going to be very attached. Allowing yourself to be happy now is the first step in the Art of Surrender. If you can be happy with or without your desired outcome attachment quickly diminishes.
Attachment to the outcome is also the manifestation of the fear that you won’t get what you want. Fear then becomes the energetic force behind your creation. Therefore you will create the opposite of what you desire. Being attached means that you do not trust the process, yourself or Spirit.
Surrender means that you know that Spirit knows how to bring about that which you desire in greater ways than you could ever imagine. Surrender means that you know that you are significant enough for Spirit to respond to your desires and you can “let go and let God”.
Surrender doesn’t mean “I don’t care” it means “It is done!”

I totally enjoyed your blog! It is so true, the simplicity of manifesting what we want; our challenge is maintaining faith as we surrender.
This also speaks to Peace on this planet. Messages like Peace isn’t free, war creates peace, etc. have created an environment where we actually believe that there are “limits” on what we can manifest through our intentions! Thank goodness we are “awakening” to our true power!!
